Among the random selection of communal mugs in the ice cream factory’s break room, I found this artifact celebrating everyone’s favorite afternoon meal. I have to wonder if it has been there all along or if it has actually been planted by some nefarious agents with viral intentions.

Inspired by a thousand year old Native American bone necklace, Jan Yager crafts necklaces out of crack vials found in her Philadelphia neighborhood. We have a library copy of this series and it has some good stuff.

It is a pre-war flat top Corona “Silent”. There are a couple of small dings in the lacquer, and it needs to be cleaned up a little, but it is a beautiful typewriter that works well. She loves typing on my Smith-Corona “Clipper”, so I think she is going to like having a typewriter of her own.
As Gandhi stepped aboard a train one day, one of his shoes slipped off and landed on the track. Without hesitation, Gandhi took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first.
When the doctor told her he could give her an injection of demerol if she had someone to drive her home, she nodded grimly, but her eyes were smiling.
I start a new gig on Monday, and I am gathering up all of the necessary tools and supplies.
Besides being able to fix nearly anything, this little beauty writes in ultraviolet ink, lights up, and makes a cool sonic screwdriver sound. The prop sonic screwdrivers used in the Doctor Who episodes aired since 2006 were actually based on the molds used for this replica, so the props are in fact replicas of a replica. I will keep it stashed in my bag until the coast is clear, but it will be good to have around in case of emergencies.
